Alliance for Vision Research Makes Strong Impact at ARVO 2026
The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Annual Meeting once again proved to be an incredible week of collaboration, advocacy, innovation, and connection for the vision research community and Alliance for Vision Research was proud to help bring vision research funding and advocacy to the main stage.
Throughout the week, Alliance for Vision Research unveiled its sleek new branding and messaging tied directly to the organization’s growing national advocacy efforts and #SeeWhatMatters campaign. The booth became a dynamic gathering place for researchers, clinicians, patient advocates, industry leaders, federal partners, and emerging vision scientists looking to discuss the future of vision research funding and policy.
From conversations surrounding the importance of protecting the National Eye Institute as an independent institute to discussions on forward funding concerns, artificial intelligence, oculomics, translational science, and the future of federal investment in vision research, the energy throughout the week was both inspiring and urgent.
Alliance for Vision Research also had the opportunity to reconnect with longtime partners and meet many new supporters who share a common goal: ensuring vision research remains a national priority. The organization was especially encouraged by the overwhelming interest in the Emerging Vision Scientist Program, which continues to grow year after year and serves as a cornerstone effort to develop the next generation of scientist-advocates.
The exhibit hall also provided an opportunity to showcase the organization’s renewed identity and strategic evolution into Alliance for Vision Research — a transition designed to strengthen messaging, expand visibility, and better position the organization as the leading national voice dedicated solely to advancing federal vision research funding and policy support.
Most importantly, ARVO 2026 served as a powerful reminder that the vision community is strongest when it comes together with a unified voice. Every conversation, partnership, and advocacy effort throughout the week reinforced why it is so important to continue fighting for sustained federal investment in sight-saving science.
