Marissa is Chief Executive Officer and board member of Doheny Eye Institute, currently headquartered in Pasadena, California. Doheny Eye Institute is affiliated with UCLA’s Stein Eye Institute, and is dedicated to furthering the conservation, improvement and restoration of human eyesight. Marissa began her employment with Doheny Eye Institute in 1991. Before that, she served in various management roles primarily in the healthcare sector. Marissa received her MBA from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California.
She serves on the Board of Directors for PIH Health, a regional healthcare delivery network serving LA County, Orange County and the San Gabriel Valley, California. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (NAEVR) and the Alliance for Eye and Vision Research (AEVR), advocacy and public education organizations dedicated to enhancing federally funded vision research programs. She also serves on the board of directors of Banza, LLC, offering higher protein, fiber, and fewer carb alternatives to pasta, pizza and rice.
